Pubblicata per PC circa un anno fa, l'edizione originale di The Witcher fu subito accolta come un prodotto interessante e dotato di tutte quelle caratteristiche che avrebbero potuto conquistare immediatamente i consensi dei gamers. La storia però insegna che alle spalle delle produzioni più importanti non vi sono soltanto imponenti campagne pubblicitarie o "prime impressioni" positive, ma (soprattutto su PC) i conti si fanno sempre a distanza di qualche tempo; fu così che presto emersero tutti i limiti di un prodotto solo in parte riuscito e penalizzato oltremodo da alcuni difetti, prevalentemente di carattere tecnico, che gli impedirono d'imporsi sfruttando tutto il potenziale di cui disponeva.
Il progetto era tuttavia troppo importante per essere abbandonato al suo destino, e così lo sviluppatore CDProjekt ha ben pensato di rimettere mano al proprio lavoro, cercando di migliorare e correggere tutti quei difetti che gli utenti avevano apertamente dichiarato di non gradire. Il risultato è stato a lungo atteso, ed ora finalmente è a disposizione, e si chiama The Witcher Enhanced Edition.

HOW TO INSTALL:

Mount with daemontools (or something else), install, then copy the two cr@ck files in the installation directory.
